Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. One of my favourite YA contemporaries! This emotionally gripping story has readers laughing one second and in tears the next. Marisa Reichardt has written a powerful and moving story.
It’s the story of Morgan, a teenage girl who becomes agoraphobic. Morgan is a wonderful character, sympathetic and believable.
When Evan moves into the next door apartment with his mother, Morgan is conflicted. He looks hot, but kind. He won’t let her ignore him, in part because of a connection they have never knew about. She’s also working with Brenda, a therapist.
After meeting Evan, Morgan is curious and wants to know him. She start to feel like there is a need. A need to live life.
With the help of her family and Evan, Morgan will take a baby steps to conquer the world.
Underwater is a truly a fascinating story. I recommend this to everyone, specially lovers of YA contemporary.
